Guidance on Choosing the Best Hotel Location in NYC

If you are traveling to NYC with family or friend, you need to find the best and comfortable accommodation for yourself. New York hotels are the most popular accommodation in the city. New York hotels are always in high demand and can be very expensive if you choose to stay in the city center. New York is a city that will capture and mesmerize you from the moment you land to the moment you depart.

Manhattan is an island on the Hudson River and is referred as the heart of NYC. You can find the entire city’s top sights, shopping, theaters, and nightlife- pretty everything that New York can offer you. Manhattan is divided into three main districts- Uptown, Downtown and Midtown. Midtown occupies the middle stretch of the island. It is further divided into the Theater District, Midtown East, the Chelsea Garment District and Gramercy District. Upper Manhattan is made up of the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, Harlem, Roosevelt Island and Central Park. Downtown Manhattan is one of the popular hotel locations along with Midtown Manhattan. It consists of the districts: Lower Manhattan. This district is home to Wall Street, Ground Zero, South Street Seaport and Batter Park where you can catch a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Towards the north of Lower Manhattan is the Tribe cat District and the bustling Chinatown district. Greenwich Village, East Village and the Lower East Side are popular for their bars, clubs and restaurants.

If your budget does not allow you stay inside the Manhattan then you can consider staying in a hotel outside of Manhattan. The four boroughs are Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. These all together with Manhattan make up New York City. Brooklyn is popular for staying. It has tones of hotels and is connected to NYC by subway. It is one of the populous boroughs in NYC and could actually be a city in its own. The Queens borough is in fact the geographical heart of NYC and home to two major airports - JFK International Airport and La Guardia Airport. The Bronx is located north of Manhattan and is the only NY borough located on mainland America! Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, Woodlawn Cemetery and the New York Botanical Gardens are located here. Staten Island is the most suburban of all the boroughs and is a pleasant passenger ferry ride from Manhattan.
